Daewoong Foundation Scholarship Program for International Students (Daewoong Foundation)

Every year, around April, Seoul National University accepts applications for the Daewoong Foundation Scholarship Program and applicants from all over the globe can apply. They must be interested in pursuing a Bachelor's program at the university.

Eligibility Criteria

●  International students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs.
●  Students with fluency in Korean(TOPIK level 4 or above)
●  Students with an excellent understanding of Korean culture.
●  Students who have excellent academic achievements.

Benefits

●  One-time award of 2,000,000 KRW

●  Opportunity to have working experience at Daewoong Group, an advantage when applying for Daewoong Group after graduation.

Applicants submit documents to SNU’s Office of International Affairs → The Office makes the 1st selection → DAEWOONG Foundation conducts interviews → Decisions noticed

Art Major Asian(AMA) Scholarship Program (Karts)

With the goal of creating the upcoming elitists in the eld of art, The Korean National University of Arts (KARTs) initiated the Art Major Asian (AMA) Scholarship program promoting Asian art globally while providing full scholarship grants.

Eligibility Criteria

● Nationality: Only those who hold citizenship of OECD DAC Recipient Countries can apply.

● Academics

1. Applicants must have completed or be expected to have completed Secondary Education or a Bachelor's degree program prior to admission to K- Arts.

2. For a Bachelor's Degree Program, applicants must have a high school diploma. For a Master’s Degree Program, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than a Bachelor’s degree.
3. Applicants who are expecting to graduate by 28th Feb 2023 must submit a certificate of expectant graduation when applying, and submit the official certificate of graduation (degree or diploma) to K-Arts no later than 28th Feb 2023.
4. Applicants expecting to graduate by 28th Feb 2023 need to prove that they are subject to the exemption for Korean Language training, holding TOPIK level 6. Otherwise, all final grantees need to join Korean Language training starting from November.
5. Language Requirement: Applicants need to meet the required Korean proficiency level that each department sets. A valid TOPIK score is necessary. Applicants who passed document screening without a valid TOPIK score are subject to take Korean Language Test run by K-Arts, however, its result will only be referred to as complementary material and won’t substitute the TOPIK score.
6. Artistic Talent: Submission of portfolios is required by each department unless it is mentioned otherwise (Portfolio not required) in order to assess the artistic talent in accordance with the curriculum.
7. Entry to Korea: Final Grantees are scheduled to arrive in Korea and take Korean language training before joining the degree program unless he/she already holds TOPIK level 6. All grantees are expected to enter Korea by the end of October while TOPIK level 6 holders can be exempted to join language training.

●  Korean Language Training: 4-month intensive language training before the entrance.
